Ste. Genevieve Wins Old Settlement Showdown, 78-49

The Ste. Genevieve Dragons boys basketball team utilized their tenacity on the boards and early shooting to take care of their rivals, the Valle Catholic Warriors, by a final score of 78-49. The threes were falling early for the Dragons.

That three was part of a 14-0 run by Ste. Genevieve as they would take the lead early and never look back. Steals and extra possessions were the stories of the rest of the game.

Coach Rob Coleman praised the team’s effectiveness on the glass after the game.

Ste. Genevieve’s win pushes them to 2-3, while Valle Catholic falls to 1-1.
