On the failed two point conversion, Ste Genevieve went into the locker room up 26-7. During halftime, Mattilyn Helms was announced as Ste. Genevieve’s homecoming queen with senior Luke Brewster as her escort. In the second half, the Dragons burned half the third quarter running the ball before Donze found a familiar target through the air.

 
After the PAT it was 33-7 Ste. Genevieve. As the fourth quarter started, the Pirates began to show some life…

That made it a game at 33-21 Ste. Genevieve. The Pirates went for the onside kick again but the Dragons were ready this time and recovered. During the drive, Donze and Greminger connected for another score, but it was called back due to holding. A few plays later the Perryville defense made Ste. Gen regret their mistake…

 
Richardet’s pick gave the Pirates the ball back but they would only lose yardage and have to punt it away. A 60-yard punt by Derek Kirn would pin the Dragons to their 25-yard line. On the ensuing drive, the Dragons’ Gabe Greminger made another spetacular play, but this one was also called back.

 
The Pirates got the ball back after a Dragon punt, failing to cut into the 12 point deficit. The Dragons killed the remainder of the clock, closing out the 33-21 victory over Perryville. The loss brings Perryville’s record to 4-3 as the Pirates shift their focus to a week 8 match-up against Boss’ alma mater, Windsor. Ste. Genevieve improved to 3-4 with the victory and will take on De Soto on the road.
