Ste. Gen’s Marysa Flieg Races Onto Track Dream Team

(Ste. Genevieve) Along with winning a State championship as a team, the Ste. Genevieve girls track team picked up some individual accolades as well. Senior Marysa Flieg was named to the Regional Radio Spring Dream Team after an unforgettable season for the Dragons. Even though she just finished her high school career, Flieg was on the track when she heard about her nomination.
Ste. Gen won the State title by one point after needing a top-eight finish in the final event that was the four-by-four relay. Fleig talks about that moment.
Flieg’s teammate Megan Aubuchon was also named to the Dream Team. Flieg also captured an individual state title in javelin throwing a school-record 42.59 meters.
