Stealing group hits Festus area

(Festus) Another group of subjects were in the Festus area checking vehicles for unlocked doors and stealing. Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis says it took place in the early morning hours on Tuesday.

Chief Lewis wants to stress the importance of keeping vehicles locked and not leaving valuables inside.

Chief Lewis says there was also one vehicle that was taken.

Chief Lewis says the incidents are very similar to those groups that were found to be stealing from the Imperial area over two weeks ago. Anyone with further information can contact the Festus Police Department at (636) 937-5184.
