Steelville Community Building Getting An Update

(Steelville) The city of Steelville was awarded a grant by the Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Community Development Block Program to help renovate the community building. The grant totals just over $495,000 and the city will kick in between $80,000 – $100,000 of its own money. Steelville Mayor Terry Beckham believes its time to update the building.

Beckham has been working on this project for over two years.

Beckham says the city does not have a start date for this project but they are working on a timeline. The next Steelville city meeting is scheduled to take place Tuesday July 6th.
