Steelville Mayor Recovering after Crash & Long-Time Steelville Diner gets New Owners

(Steelville) Steelville Mayor Mike Keen was involved in a vehicle accident November 21st in Crawford County where he received several broken bones along with other injuries.

Since then, he says he is recuperating as he attended the latest city council meeting.

During the meeting, the Steelville City Council awarded a new business license to a diner that has been in operation for many years in that Crawford County town.

The new owners of the Spare Rib Inn are Hope and Kyle Kientzel.

The Steelville City Council also had a request at their meeting from Curtis Crouch.

In other news from the Steelville City Council meeting, council meetings originally scheduled for January 20th and February 17th have been changed due Martin Luther King Jr. Day and President’s Day.

Those meetings will now be held on January 21st and February 18th.
