Steelville Mayor Starts a New Term as Town’s Leader
(Steelville) The Steelville City Council approved election results and reorganized itself during their meeting this week.
Mayor Terry Beckham won another term in office by just a 12 vote margin with only 129 Steelville residents voting on April 2nd.
We asked Mayor Beckham about his election win.

This will be Burke-Patterson’s first-ever term as a Steelville City Council member.
Curtis Crouch also won another term on the council in an uncontested race.
Mayor Beckham says the council heard from Sherri Jerrick who is about to open up a brand new business in Steelville.

And the mayor says the Steelville council also heard from the local tourism committee that talked about an event they have planned for early May.

In other Steelville city news, the council approved the hiring of lifeguards and staff for the public swimming pool.
The mayor says several of the hires will return from last summer.
As of right now, no opening date has been set yet for the Steelville City Swimming Pool.
