Steelville Mayor wants Residents to know Coronavirus Pandemic IS NOT a Hoax

(Steelville) Some residents of Steelville apparently are not taking the coronavirus ‘stay at home’ and social distancing orders seriously.

Mayor Mike Keen has seen some of the inappropriateness first-hand.

Mayor Keen has also heard some folks in the Steelville area believe the coronavirus pandemic is a hoax.

He says the so-called hoax theories are pure nonsense.

From 1998 to 2010, Keen was a paramedic with the Steelville Ambulance District.

He’s worried about those individuals who are working on the front-lines right now.

According to the State of Missouri coronavirus website, Crawford County currently has five confirmed cases of Covid-19.
