Steelville Needs Police Officers And Other Updates From Monday’s City Meeting

(Steelville) The City of Steelville is in need of police officers. Mayor Terry Beckham says they are exploring all options.

Anyone interested in joining the Steelville Police Department can call the department at 573-775-2200 or stop by City Hall at 895 Frisco Street.

In other news from the Steelville city meeting on Monday, they’re hoping to unveil the new splash pad this Saturday. Mayor Beckham says the city has been working on the spash pad for around a year and that it was built from scratch by city employees.

Mayor Beckham also gave a contract to a local man to assist with I.T. services.

The Steelville Back-To-School Bash will be held on Main Street on Saturday, July 29th. The next Steelville city meeting will be held Monday, August 7th.
