Strong Pitching Leads to Jefferson Win Over Crystal City
(FESTUS) Errors rule the day today with KJFF’s coverage of the Jefferson Blue Jays baseball team narrowly defeating Crystal City by a 3-2 final score.
In the top of the 3rd inning, the Hornets get the scoring started after a throwing error by Jefferson pitcher Levi Ebersoldt.
Then at 2-2 in the bottom of the 5th, Crystal City returns the favor by committing 3 errors to set up this eventual winning run.
Errors aside, Ebersoldt stands strong on the mound and delivers a complete game victory for the Blue Jays with no walks and ten strikeouts. Assistant Coach Christian Moulton likes the composure Ebersoldt showed.
Crystal City head coach Ricardo Pastrana thinks his team played well enough to win.
The loss drops Crystal City to 1-8 and the win for Jefferson improves its record to 7-8.
