Sullivan man injured in accident near DeSoto

A Sullivan man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Route H east of Ware Road on Sunday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 33-year-old Jacob Kinder was driving a 2007 Lincoln Towncar west on Route H and crossed the center line, and struck a 2021 Ford Expedition driven by 65-year-old Richard Francis of DeSoto. The impact caused Kinder’s vehicle to rotate and travel off the left side of the roadway and struck a sign and a tree. Kinder, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson with moderate injuries. The accident took place at 3:48 Sunday afternoon.
