Supreme Court & Governor Do Not Block Tuesday’s Scheduled Execution at Bonne Terre Prison

(Bonne Terre) The high court has denied a request to delay Tuesday evening’s scheduled execution of Leonard Taylor.

His attorneys filed a motion asking for a 3 to 4-month delay in order to further investigate the times of death for the victims, Taylor’s girlfriend and her three children.

Taylor claims he is innocent and he was in California at the time of their 2004 deaths.

Prosecutors say Taylor killed the family, admitted it in a phone call to his brother and fled to California.

Governor Parson announced Monday afternoon he would not block Taylor’s scheduled execution which would take place inside the prison in Bonne Terre as early as 6 o’clock Tuesday evening.
