Taylor Werner Falls Short of Olympics

(Eugene, OR) Ste. Genevieve High School graduate, state record-holder, and NCAA All-American Taylor Werner fell short of qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics. In the finals of the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, Werner finished 11th with a time of 15:56.83. She led the field through each lap to 3000m with a 9:35.07 split. Elise Cranny, Mizzou-Alum Karissa Schweizer and Rachel Schnieder will represent the USA in the 5000m.
