Teen struck by vehicle following fireworks display

(Crystal City) A 13-year-old female who was trying to cross Highway 61 from the St. Pius High School Campus to Surdyke Motorsports in Crystal City was struck by a vehicle on Thursday night.
The incident happened around 9:40pm following the fireworks display held at St. Pius.
Crystal City Police Captain Mike Pruneau says they don’t have any evidence of negligence on the drivers end.
The female was transported by Rock Community Ambulance District to a regional hospital for treatment.
The status of the female struck is unknown. According to Captain Pruneau they don’t have plans on submitting criminal charges against the driver at this time.
