Terre Du Lac police chief resigns

The chief of police in Terre Du Lac has resigned. Tim Cook stepped down Wednesday after 7 years leading the force.

In a post on the department’s Facebook page, Cook cited budget cuts, lack of proper personnel and a perceived lack of support from the Terre Du Lac Association board.

Cook stated that he was told by the president of the board on January 1st, 2018 that the president told Cook he held animosity towards the police department.

Cook also stated he was told to not hire a seventh officer and that he was the only employee of the TDL Association that had not received a pay raise since January 2018.
