Thanksgiving holiday traffic and safety

(Hillsboro) The roadways will be somewhat busy over the next few days with people traveling to and from their Thanksgiving destinations. Many drivers will be traveling through the area from out of state, and Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak says to be mindful, and always use a designated driver when needed to keep all travelers safe.

Sheriff Marshak says scheduling for the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend, it’s not a difficult as it used to be.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies who work on Thanksgiving and the next few days will receive increased wages or holiday pay.
