The Gas Price Blues

(Farmington) The sticker shock at the gas pumps in Missouri keeps getting worse.

Triple-A reports the latest statewide average price for a gallon of regular-unleaded is 4-dollars-49 cents a gallon.

A week ago, it was $4.17, 32 cents lower than it is today.

Missouri’s average price is still lower than this week’s national average of $4.91 a gallon.

The cheapest average gas price in Missouri is in Vernon County at $4.32 a gallon while St. Louis city and Knox County are tied for the most expensive gas at $4.63 a gallon.

Locally, according to gasbuddy.com, gas is $4.42 a gallon in Park Hills, $4.49 in Ste. Genevieve and Viburnum, $4.58 in Potosi.

The cheapest gas we could find in the area is in Salem at $4.39 a gallon.
