(HILLSBORO) The Grandview girls basketball team wins its 16th consecutive game by knocking off the Hillsboro Hawks 49-30 tonight on KJFF.

A game with turnovers galore, the suffocating Eagles defense benefited greatly with time winding down.

Eagles head coach Ronda Hubbard recognized the team was struggling with turnovers and had to make some halftime adjustments.

 
Grandview improves to 21-2 heading into the Class 3 District 3 tournament. The opening round takes place on Saturday with the Eagles taking on host team Cuba.

Hillsboro drops to 12-12 and is set to face Seckman on the road next week for its final tune-up before the Class 4 District 2 tournament on the 24th.
