Thieves Target Ameren UE substation in Fenton area

(Jefferson County) Ameren UE’s substation in Fenton in unincorporated Jefferson County was once again targeted by thieves.
Sheriff’s office spokesman Grant Bissell says the incident happened sometime between the evening of February 26th and the early morning of the 28th.
The estimated value of the wires is about $500 with the transformer costing nearly $1,000.
