This Is National Breastfeeding Month

(Park Hills) This is National Breastfeeding Month. Cate Reando is the coordinator for the WIC Program at the St. Francois County Health Center in Park Hills. She says breastfeeding is better for your baby and also offers some health benefits for mom.

Reando says another big benefit of breastfeeding for mom comes in the area of weight loss.

The theme this year for National Breastfeeding Month is “Step Up for Breastfeeding”. The WIC Program at the health department in Park Hills offers counseling services and classes to help mothers understand the importance of breastfeeding.
