This Week is Missouri Severe Weather Preparedness Week

This week is Missouri’s Severe Weather Preparedness Week.

It’s during this week the National Weather Service encourages people to plan and prepare for various severe weather events that the spring and summer months bring.

Kevin Deitsch is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the National Weather Service in St. Louis. He says each day during the week will be focused on a different severe weather theme.

The Missouri Statewide Tornado Drill will be Tuesday morning at 10. That’s when many people could hear tornado sirens and NOAA Weather Radio will sound an alarm broadcasting a test Tornado Warning.

Deitsch says what people should do during the tornado drill.
