Thousands More File for Unemployment in Missouri

(Farmington) Missouri reports the number of unemployment claims this week is 55-thousand.
Since the coronavirus outbreak began in mid-March, more than 453-thousand people have lost their jobs and have filed claims, seeking jobless aid.
The Missouri Labor Department says since March 15th, Missouri has paid out more than 500-million dollars in state and federal unemployment benefits.
Only about 76-percent of Missourians who have filed for unemployment have been sent a payment.
