(East Central/Southeast Missouri) Forecasters with the National Weather Service are tracking the potential for severe weather Tuesday afternoon and evening across the Regional Radio Listening area.

Lewis Kanofsky is a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in St. Louis. He says a strong low pressure system will be making its way through our region.

Kanofsky adds the wind will begin to pick up overnight.

As one system exits our region, another one will move in just in time for Thanksgiving.

Temperatures are expected to top out in the low 40s on Turkey day and low 50s on Black Friday.
