Three Farmington residents injured on southbound I-55 near Imperial Main Street

(Imperial) Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on southbound I-55 north of Imperial Main Street yesterday (Tuesday) morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2021 Jeep Cherokee driven by 63-year-old Sonja Camden of Farmington was stopped and disabled in Lane 2 after its involvement in a previous accident in the same location. 28-year-old Levi Reynolds of Farmington was also traveling south on I-55 in a 2019 Ford Fusion and failed to observe the Cherokee stopped on the highway and served to the left, attempting to avoid the collision and struck the SUV from behind. Both Reynolds and Camden as well as a passenger in Camden’s vehicle 88-year-old Melba Dischbein of Farmington, were all taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. The accident took place just after 10:30 yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
