(Doe Run) Three people were injured, two seriously, in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in St. Francois County.

The Highway Patrol says the accident took place on ‘B’ Highway, north of Russell Road, when a Chevy 1500 pickup driven by 30-year-old Brian Thomlinson of Ironton was driving too fast for road conditions.

Thomlinson failed to negotiate a curve and the front of his truck struck the front of a 2015 flatbed Freightliner coming in the other direction which was driven by 61-year-old Kevin Helton of Doe Run.

Thomlinson and his passenger, 28-year-old Brianna McGuire of Bismarck, received serious injuries while Helton received minor injuries.

Thomlinson and McGuire were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City while Helton was taken to Parkland South Medical Center in Farmington.
