(Jefferson County) Three people have been arrested, and another one is reported to be on the loose after a vehicle crash involving a stolen car on Highway 141 in northern Jefferson County.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Grant Bissell says deputies were alerted around 1:30 Thursday morning by St. Louis County authorities that there was “car clotting” suspects off of Meramec Bottom Road and that they may be heading south into Jefferson County.

Bissell notes the fourth suspect was able to get away.

18-year-old Kamon Lawrence of St. Louis has been charged with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and Resisting Arrest.

Lawrence is believed to have been driving the stolen vehicle. Also 17-year-old Davion Dixon of St. Louis has been charged with Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, and Resisting Arrest from a separate incident that occurred on August 16th in the Imperial area.

Both Lawrence and Dixon are being held at the Jefferson County Jail on $50,000 cash-only bond.

The third suspect arrested is a 16-year-old juvenile male from St. Louis.

The car used by the suspects is reportedly stolen out of Northwoods in north St. Louis County.
