(Potosi) Three current employees and a former employee of the Washington County Collector’s office are now facing multiple charges of stealing after their arrests last week.

County Collector Carla Zettler faces three counts of felony stealing, a felony count of forgery and a charge of official misconduct.

Laura Laramore, a candidate for Washington County Treasurer, along with Hanna Zettler are charged with felony stealing and misdemeanors of official misconduct.

Regional Radio news has now learned, Leslie Harmon, a former employee in the collector’s office, is also charged with felony stealing.

A Washington County resident alerted Sheriff Zach Jacobsen of missing cash transactions of land tax sales that were not deposited into the county’s treasury.

The Division of Crime Control of the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated, while an independent audit revealed unaccounted funds of more than $107,000.

The four will be arraigned next month before Judge Troy Hyde at the courthouse in Potosi.
