(Jefferson County) One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon on the ramp from southbound I-55 and US 61. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chevy Malibu driven by 41-year old Shaun Wood of Hillsboro failed to yield to the steady red light and rear-ended a 2019 Jeep Gladiator driven by 41-year old Danny Lamkin of Festus. Wood was taken by ambulance to Mercy Jefferson with moderate injuries. Wood was later charged with Felony Resisting, Felony Driving While Revoked, and Damage Property 2nd Degree. The accident took place around 1:15 Thursday afternoon.
One person was seriously injured in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 67 north of Route CC on Thursday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports two vehicles were stopped in the right lane on southbound 67, while a third vehicle, a 2017 Hyundai Accent driven by 34-year old Jesse Brawley of Arcadia failed to observe the stopped vehicles and struck the rear of a 2007 Work W42 truck. The truck then was pushed into another vehicle, a 2016 Nissan NV 1500 truck. Only Brawley suffered injuries from the accident and was taken by ambulance to Mercy St. Louis with serious injuries. The accident took place around 4:15 Thursday afternoon.
