(Jefferson City) The Mineral Area College men’s basketball team finished the regular season at 29-1 and ranked 5th in the country. For the first time under Luke Strege the Cardinals claimed a share of the regular season Region 16 title and go into the postseason as the number one seed in the tournament. The Cardinals begin postseason play Friday afternoon against State Fair in the Region 16 semifinals at Jefferson City. The Cardinals have defeated the 16-13 Roadrunners twice already this season. We’ll broadcast the game on AM 800 KREI starting with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show at 3:45.
