Tornado Confirmed in Bollinger County This Week

(Patton) The National Weather Service says an EF-1 tornado left damage in Bollinger County on Wednesday afternoon.

The tornado touched down south of Patton and traveled 3-and-a-half miles for about eight minutes.

Thousands of large trees snapped or were uprooted, a tractor-trailer overturned, and a small shed was blown away.

The wind speed peaked at 105 miles an hour before the twister vanished.

No tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service for this storm.

J-98 gave storm reports that afternoon as severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for Bollinger and Wayne counties Wednesday afternoon.
