Tulsa Woman Killed in Crash on I-44 in Crawford County

(Leasburg) A woman from Tulsa, Oklahoma was killed in a one vehicle accident today in Crawford County.

The Highway Patrol says 54-year-old Kelly Burgess lost her life when her Ford Escape ran off the interstate onto the south outer road of I-44, struck a fence, a utility pole and then overturned, throwing Burgess from the vehicle.

Burgess was pronounced dead at the scene by Nikki Russell, the deputy coroner of Crawford County.

The fatal crash took place just east of the Leasburg exit.
