Turkey Season Could Bring Visitors to Missouri During Coronavirus

Turkey hunting season opens Monday, April 20th in Missouri.
Since the Show-Me State is one of the best places to turkey hunt in the country, this could bring an influx of out-of-staters to hunt the elusive mighty gobbler.
With the coronavirus pandemic still prevalent, some have questioned if Missouri should be letting folks from other states into Missouri just for turkey hunting.
Joe Jerek is the statewide spokesman for Missouri Department of Conservation. He says that is not something they can control.
Jerek says conversations about limiting or pushing back turkey season have gone on but in the end he says the outdoors can still be enjoyed safely.
Spring turkey season in Missouri starts Monday the 20th and runs through May 10th.
