Twin City Chamber donates to Backstoppers of Jefferson County

(Festus, Crystal City) This past Saturday during the Twin City Days Concert in the Park, there was a 50/50 raffle taking place with half the funds going to the Backstoppers of Jefferson County. However, heavy rains canceled the concert early, and the decision was made to donate all the monies to the cause. During The Sheriff’s Report on KJFF this week, Twin City Days Chairman Kirk Mooney presented the check to Lieutenant Colonel Tim Whitney of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office who serves on the Backstoppers of Jefferson County board.

Lieutenant Colonel Whitney says just in the last year and a half, Backstoppers has helped several local 1st Responders.
