(Festus, Crystal City) The 33rd annual Twin City Firecracker Extravaganza will be held this weekend at Crites Memorial Park in Festus. The festivities begin Friday evening starting at 5 with the carnival starting up. Festus Parks Superintendent Josh Whaley says Friday’s entertainment, the Jonathan Braddy Band should bring in a good crowd to kick things off.
The Twin City Firecracker Extravaganza continues all day on Saturday with a fireworks display to end the event. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp says to expect a very large and entertaining fireworks show.
Saturday’s activities begin with the fishing derbies in the morning, plus the carnival rides, food and craft vendors, a petting zoo, pony rides, and more! The musical entertainment on Saturday night will be Johnny Rock-ITT and the Double Wide Symphony. KJFF and J98 will broadcast from the Twin City Firecracker Extravaganza Friday night from 4 until 6.
