Twin City Firecracker Festival fishing derbies

(Festus) The Twin City Firecracker Festival will take place next weekend at Larry G. Crites Memorial Park in Festus. One of the early events on that Saturday (6/24) will be the Kid’s Hooked on Fishing Derby. The event is free for children to take part in and is always a lot of fun according to Festus Director of Tourism and Recreation, Barb Lowry.

There will be door prizes for the participating kids, and free hot dogs and drinks will be provided. The Kid’s Hooked on Fishing Derby begins at 8 o’clock on Saturday morning, June 24th. Later that morning will be the Senior’s Hooked on Fishing Derby and that begins at 10 o’clock that morning. For more information on the Twin City Firecracker Extravaganza visit City of Festus dot org.
