Two Dead in Crawford County Crash

(Cuba) Two people are dead and one injured after a motorcycle/car accident Tuesday afternoon in Crawford County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened on ‘C-C’ Highway at Highway 19 when a Harley Davidson ridden by 60-year-old Steven Cook of Bland was southbound on 19 and a Subaru Outback driven by 60-year-old Patrice Davis of Cuba was eastbound on ‘F’ Highway, preparing to cross Highway 19 to ‘C-C’.

The Harley travelled into the path of the Subaru, colliding with the left side of the car.

Cook and his passenger, 59-year-old Sharon Cook of Bland were thrown from the motorcycle.

The Subaru then ran off the road and struck a state sign support before coming to rest.

Steven Cook was pronounced dead at the scene and Sharon Cook was pronounced dead after being taken to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.

Davis received minor injuries and she was taken to an un-named hospital for treatment.

The Cook’s were not wearing motorcycle helmets.
