Two injured in Jefferson County car crash

2 people were injured in a 2-vehicle accident in Jefferson County Wednesday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol reports 31-year-old Joshua Venable of Fenton was driving with 30-year-old Jessica Lee of Wentzville and headed south on New Sugar Creek Road.
A vehicle driven by 17-year-old Benjamin Coonrod of Fenton tried to pull onto New Sugar Creek Road from a private drive but failed to yield to oncoming traffic, causing a side-on collision.
Coonrod was unharmed and Venable suffered moderate injuries, but Lee was seriously injured.
Both Venable and Lee were taken to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.
