Two Jefferson County Health Department employees honored by MEHA

(Hillsboro) A pair of employees with the Jefferson County Health Department has been awarded by the Missouri Environmental Health Association. One of the recipients is Victoria “Tori” Bowen, an Environmental Public Health Specialist. Jefferson County Health Department Public Communications Officer Brianne Zwiener says Tori made an immediate impact since joining the department a year ago.

The other winner is Steve Sikes as he was given the MEHA Lifetime Achievement Award. Zwiener says Steve has been with the health department for over twenty years.

Zwiener says Sikes has done numerous things over the years to better the department as a whole.

The Missouri Environmental Health Association announced Bowen and Sikes as the winners of those awards at its annual awards lunch banquet last month.
