Two MoDOT workers killed, 1 seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in St. Louis County

(St. Louis County) Two Missouri Department of Transportation workers have been struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday in St. Louis County.

One other has been taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Corporal Dallas Thompson says the crash happened on an Interstate-255 overpass just after 11am.

The vehicle that struck the MoDOT workers was being driven by 52-year-old Stanley McFadden of Hillsboro. He was transported by ambulance to Mercy South with moderate injuries.

The MoDOT workers killed were 25-year-old Kaitlyn Anderson of De Soto and 58-year-old James Brooks of St. Louis. Anderson was reportedly six months pregnant.

The third MoDOT worker struck, 35-year-old Michael Brown of House Springs was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South.

The investigation into the accident continues by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
