Two Motorcycles Crash in Jefferson County….One Dead….One Seriously Injured

(Fenton) One man is dead and another seriously injured after two motorcycles crashed Wednesday in Jefferson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened on Highway 30 west of Delores Drive when a special custom motorcycle ridden by 50-year-old Lyle Skinner of Wentzville and a Harley-Davidson Softtail ridden by 58-year-old John R. Morgan of St. Peters were both traveling eastbound on 30.

Skinner was ahead of Morgan.

Skinner stopped for a changing stop light and the front of Morgan’s Harley struck the rear of Skinner’s motorcycle.

Both men were thrown from their bikes.

Morgan was taken to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis where he was pronounced dead several hours after the crash.

Skinner was seriously injured.

He was also taken to the hospital in St. Louis for treatment of his injuries.
