Two people injured in accident on US Highway 61 and Route TT

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on US Highway 61 at Highway TT on Saturday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 44-year-old Amanda Peters of Festus was driving a 2016 Chevy Trax failed to stop at the stop sign, and struck a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500. The driver and passenger in the truck, 70-year-old David Lalumondier, and 70-year-old Karen Lalumondier both of Festus, received moderate injuries and were taken by private conveyance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for treatment. The accident took place at 9 o’clock Saturday morning.
