Two People Seriously Injured in Washington County Accident

(Washington Co., Mo.) A man from Park Hills was taken to Mercy Hospital South while a woman from Potosi was taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital after being involved in a 2-vehicle accident this evening in Washington County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place at 10550 Highway P when a Dodge Charger driven by 40-year-old Ernie Nokes rear ended a Buick Lacrosse driven by 89-year-old Louise Newcomer while she was trying to make a left turn. Nokes and Newcomer both received serious injuries in the the crash. Nokes’ passenger, 30-year-old Julie Sharp received minor injuries in the crash.
