Two Ranked Baseball Teams In St. Pius And Ste. Gen Square Off Friday On KREI/KJFF

In a contest featuring two of the best baseball teams in the listening area, the Ste. Genevieve Dragons will play host to the St. Pius Lancers Friday on AM 800 KREI and AM 1400 KJFF. The Lancers enter with a spotless record of 8-0 and 1-0 in the JCAA Conference.
They are ranked 7th in the state of Missouri for Class 3 teams, but assistant coach Eric Lawrence thinks his squad still hasn’t reached their full potential.
On the side of Ste. Genevieve, they enter into the mega-matchup with a record of 8-1 that includes a 1-0 record in MAAA conference play. The Dragons are also ranked at the state level of Class 4, earning the 10th spot in Missouri.
Head coach Mike McDaniel wants his team to lead with their pitching and defense.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 on Friday with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show beginning at 4:15 on AM 800 KREI and AM 1400 KJFF.
