Two Rolla Teens Injured In Crash On I-44 In Crawford County

(Crawford County) Two teenagers from Rolla were injured in a car crash in Carwford County Monday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred on eastbound I-44, at mile marker 208.8, when a 2015 Chevy Traverse driven by 19-year-old Ethan Volkman attempted to merge in front of a 2017 Ford F-550 driven by 32-year-old Samuel Osseck of Union. The Ford struck the rear of Volkman’s vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road and hit the median barries, while Volkman traveled off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. Osseck was uninjured, but Volkman and his passenger, 18-year-old Alizaya Doyle, received moderate injuries. Volkman was taken by air to Mercy St. Louis and Doyle was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan. The crash happened around 2:50 Monday afternoon.
