Two teenagers injured in two separate accidents on Wednesday night

Two teenagers were injured in two separate accidents in Jefferson County Wednesday night. The first took place on northbound Dillon Road south of Wildwind Lane. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Samuel Thiel of High Ridge was driving a Yamaha Blaster ATV and traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The impact caused Thiel to be ejected from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis with serious injuries. The accident took place around 6:20 Wednesday evening.

The second accident took place on West Outer Road at Miller Road. The Highway Patrol reports 19-year-old Alana Keen of Overland was driving a Nissan Versa and traveled off the south side of Miller and struck a stop sign, then a guardrail and became airborne and came to a rest on its left side. Keen was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. That accident took place a little before 10 o’clock Wednesday night.
