Two Teens Injured In Washington County Accident

(Potosi) Two people from Potosi were injured, one seriously, in a traffic accident Wednesday night on Highway 21 near cannon Mines Road in Washington County.

The highway patrol says a Pontiac G6 driven by 19 year old Geoffery Howard was driving too fast for the wet road conditions when his vehicle ran off the road on a curve.

The vehicle then hit a speed limit sign and began to rotate counter clockwise.

It then hit a tree before coming to a stop in the road.

Howard was seriously injured in the accident, while his passenger, 18 year old Kevin Fitzwater sustained moderate injuries.
