Two weekend motorcycle accidents in Jefferson County

An Arnold man was injured in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 59-year-old Kenneth Barten was driving a Honda Goldwing north on Vogel Road south of Old Lemay Ferry Road when he lost control and traveled off the right side of the roadway. He was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with serious injuries. The accident took place soon after midnight Saturday morning.

A DeSoto man was injured when traveled off the left side of the roadway on Highway V. The Highway Patrol says 64-year-olf Curtis Bilbrey was driving a 2020 Harley Davidson Street Glide and was airlifted to Mercy St. Louis with serious injuries. The accident took place just after 6 o’clock Sunday night.
