Unemployment Up In Missouri

(Farmington) The Missouri Department of Workforce Development is reporting a slight uptick in the state’s unemployment rate.

Officials say it increased from 3-point-1 percent in December to 3-point-5 percent in January.

Employment increased by 9-thousand jobs in first month of the year.

The national jobless rate was a tenth higher at 3-point-6 percent in January.
