(St. Francois County) The United Way of St. Francois County is delivering the grant money it promised to over 30 not for profit agencies this week. This ceremony normally takes place in June at the Farmington Public Library, but because of COVID-19, the group is handing out the money a month early. Executive Director Clay Whitener says the pandemic is also impacting the amount of money they have to hand out.

Whitener says he’s concerned about the long term ramifications of the coronavirus.

The United Way of St. Francois County is supporting 34 not for profits this year. That list includes 7 food pantries, 5 senior centers and 2 caring communities.
