(Farmington) The United Way of St. Francois County presented over $165,000 worth of grants to over 30 not for profit agencies on Tuesday in Farmington. The money goes to the agencies the United Way pledged to support this year. One of those groups is the Southeast Missouri Family Violence Council. Stephanie Bennett is the executive director of the group. She says they’ll put that money to good use.
Linda Dickerson-Bell is the director of the St. Francois County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. She says their grant is coming at just the right time.
Cassie Thomas is the director of the United Way of St. Francois County. She says a lot of people are doing great work in the county and it’s great to help them out.
Tuesday’s grant check ceremony was held at the Farmington Public Library.
